Minimalism

01.07 - 08.07.2011
An exhibition by Nava Gallery
Opening: 01.07.2011 at 19:30
/+/SKLADA

Minimalism is the first photo exhibition of NAVA Gallery, a gallery that has gathered photographers pursuing and having attitude to abstract photography, particularly, minimalist expression techniques.

The minimalism theme was prompted by the need a number of authors had to escape the well-beaten tracks of the representationally clear message and seek the path of laconism, the path of the sign using forms, proportions and details and very often also the lack of them at a more delicate level.

Minimalism can happen where we have thinking and senses that have been given a special type of education. This is a model of reasoning that stands just on the other side of our tradition that is full of half-expression, vague 'empathy', coloristic wordiness, love for the plastic, for the material, etc.
Svilen Stefanov, Literature Forum, issue 24

More than 20 authors working in Bulgaria and abroad with 35 photos in total are included into the selection.

Curators: Georgi Georgiev, Dimitar Lazarov, Borislav Aleksandrov
