Workshop Stock Photography – How and Why?

Speaker: Gencho Petkov (Canon), photographer artist, Artist of FIAP
Involved with stock photos since 2002, initially in sites with traditional licensing – Alami, and for two years with microstock and free licensing – Shutterstock, iStockphoto, Veer, Dreamstime, Fotolia, Depositphotos.

Program:
• 24.06.2011: 14:00 – 18:00 Theoretical classes, screenings, presentations, Introduction to the studio, photo and computer technologies
• 25-26.06.2010: 10:00 – 18:00 Photographic work, processing of photographs

Total: 20 hours.
The workshop will be held in the studio of Multimedia Workshop, Sofia 1113, Raiko Alexiev 15, tel.: 02 439 05 06.

Topics in the seminar program:
• Introduction to Stock Photography;
• Payment;
• Entering the stock photography market;
• Technical requirements;
• Legal issues;
• Shooting steps;
• Computer processing;
• The perfect workflow;
• Photographic approaches in stock photography.

The program includes:
• Theoretical presentation of the topics – 4-6 hours;
• Practical shooting of modern interiors and details – 4 hours;
• Studio shooting for stock products or models 10-12 hours;
• Detailed analysis of the footage – 4 hours.

The workshop includes:
• Practical course on stock photography under the direction of photographic artist Gencho Petkov. Personal advices to each participant in the workshop during the practical sessions;
• Practical shooting of modern interiors and details – 4 hours;
• Studio shooting of stock products or models 10-12 hours;
• Using specific photographic Canon tilt/shift lenses and Sigma wide-angle and macro lenses;
• DVD with promotional materials;
• Printing of 2 copies Choice of size 305 x 203 mm;
• Discussion about the taken photos and the results achieved by the participants during the workshop.

Preferences:
• Participants in the workshop will be able to enjoy a demonstration of Canon and Sigma equipment during the practical part;
• 5% discount on all photography products and services offered by Multimedia Workshop.
