85 Years Nedko Nedev
He was born on 14.02.1928, in Purvomai. He worked in the Dimitrovgrad theater, then in National Unity „Bulgarian photography“ until his retirement. He presents his first solo exhibition in 1955. Nedko Nedev’s exhibitions are presented in Sofia, Plovdiv, Bourgas, Blagoevgrad, Kazanlak, as well as in Romania, Hungary, Turkey, and now the former USSR (Soviet Union) and Czechoslovakia. He has won gold, silver and bronze medals of FIAP. In 1970, he defended the title photographer artist. In 2008 Nedko Nedev became the first winner of the APB founded plaque named after Yanka Kyurkchieva for contribution to the development of photography in Bulgaria.
He works in almost all photography genres – advertisement, theater, stage photography (for years he has photographed the Golden Orpheus – International Festival of Bulgarian Pop Song), landscape. His favorite genre is portrait.
