The photographs are taken with a digital camera „Olympus“ E1. Two frames were shot on black and white negative film with a plastic camera „Holga“ (type of toy camera). The photographs are sepia toned copied on watercolor paper with passepartout.
The idea came to me looking at the photographs of Edward Steichen and especially the photograph „The Pond – Moonlight“ from 1904. There in the magic light of twilight, the trees seemed to break down and become one with the water in which they reflect.
In my photographic exhibition I use the lack of focus for the means of expression as a way to present a sense of memory more realistic. Our memories are never detailed as a real objects, that’s why when you see a picture in which dominate the soft contours of the elements, it would seem so real. Lack of focus reveals the „internal images“ because they are not fully formed to the smallest details, as the visible world.
Abstract paintings – more or less unreal, distant idea of reality. The photographs are my modest attempt to materialize the illusion, sleep or even hallucination.
