Wells

Being in a beautiful place – it’s not that important!
Mastering your camera – it’s not that important!
Taking a galore of images – it’s not that important!
The most important is to see what others don’t, catch it and show it to them!
“Wells” is an exhibition by Krasimir Matarov. Matarov was born in 1976 in Blagoevgrad. He has graduated from two higher education institutions – the South-West University Blagoevgrad and the Moscow State Pedagogical University. Presently he is a teacher at the High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Blagoevgrad where he also teaches photography to students as optional subject and participates in a photography project under the SUCCESS Programme.
Krasimir Matarov publishes images at Bulgarian and foreign photography websites and has his Facebook page – Krasi St M Photography. He participates in World Photography Organization’s (WPO) Master classes together with Sony London. His works have been published in Magazine EIGHT, Photomania, Usuri, GEO and National Geographic.
Krasimir Matarov is the winner of numerous awards from national and international competitions: 1st place in Sony World Photography Awards 2013, 1st place in the “MILSET” international photography contest, 1st place in the GEO magazine competition “Places the world must see”. He is recognized and has won awards of Photoacademica, National Geographic and others. Krasimir Matarov has participated in many exhibitions as “Challenge Days” 2010 and 2013, “Bulgaria – an attractive tourist destination” 2010 and 2013, Month of Photography 2010 and 2013. His works have been displayed in the National Museum in Sofia as well as in London, Luxembourg and Bratislava.
