Denis Buchel was born in Kishinev, Moldova, in 1979. He has been taking photos since the beginning of 2007.
„While walking down a street, I saw a dog. I stopped and shot it. Then the next one appeared, and the next, and the next… I ordered them and that was how the cycle Dog’s life was created. Each of my models I remember and can recognize everywhere throughout Sofia. Life has taught me how to distinguish people and my sensations do almost never mislead me. There are good and bad, sad and happy, noble and envious dogs. The same story, as with people. Recently, while taking a photo, I prefer dogs to people. They do not lie. Then do not belong to anyone but themselves. They are free and this makes them different“.
