“Vladimir Dimitrov – Maystora (The Master)” Art Gallery is an autonomous institution working in the area of the Arts and culture. Thanks to its efforts, the Kyustendil audience and the guests of the city enjoy numerous exhibitions of its rich collection, general, national, international, visiting and solo exhibits and projects.
The Art Gallery has been named after Vladimir Dimitrov – Maystora since 1961.
His art is closely intertwined with the people of Kyustendil district – for a long time he had lived and worked in the village of Shishkovtsi. Kyustendil Art Gallery possesses the largest and main collection of Maystora’s works – oil paintings, water colors, ink drawings and sketches (total number of 1357).
