Night over Bulgaria

Night over Bulgaria
When night comes down over Bulgaria and you feel sleepy, Krasimir Matarov is out there – hunting photos of millions of stars and the milky way. So for two years, limited by the phases of the moon, the author takes the photographs, which are now part of this exhibition. The places where the pictures were taken are quite famous and ordinary, but, due to the magic of the night, they are shown to us in a rather remarkable way. It’s a dialog with the nature, in which it reveals its other side – to be mystically beautiful.

Krasimir Matarov is the author of several solo exhibitions, he has dozens of first places in national and international photo contests. His photographs have been exhibited in London, Warsaw, Moscow, Bratislava, Luxemburg, China, Turkey, Bulgaria and others. The top of his career is winning first place in the Open category of Nature & Wildlife in Sony 2013 competition, in which participated 122 000 photographs. Krasimir participated with masterklas in in WPO, and also leads two-day workshops on landscape and macro photography.
