Charity exhibition „Awakening“ Supporting “Eyes on 4 paws Foundation” – only school in Bulgaria, training guide dogs for blind people, full member of the European and International Federation of Guide Dog Schools. Physical freedom is something so natural that people realize it`s price only when they have lost it. There are more than 18 thousand blind people living in Bulgaria who are waiting their chance to receive a guide dog and only one school that can “give” these people eyes, friend and independence. The „Awakening“, shown in the exhibition is not only physical but it is also emotional and creative. The exhibition shows guide dog`s life in any stage – from baby to trained professional tracked trough the personal stories of the foster families, dog`s trainers and blind people. The exhibition inherently is compilation of reportage and portrait photographs which show also the emotional side of the relationship between blind person and his faithful assistant.
A documentary movie supporting the idea of the exhibition will be shown as well. It presents the personal stories of some blind people and footages of the dog training and work stages. The movie will fortify the emotional effect of the exhibition and will give a better opportunity for media coverage of this project.
