The Best of

Storytelling remains at the core of each of these photos. A loose narrative is often wrapped around a quirky, conceptual twist that allows the viewer to use their imagination to decide what the beginning and ending of each story will be. Location, styling, and the human characters all play a large part in determining the final aesthetic while always supporting the initial storyline. Even though a carefully constructed scene is created well before each image is shot, there is always an element of organic discovery on set as the characters are able to finally relate to the environment in reality and not just on the sketch pad. This open minded approach allows the process of making the photo as fun and exciting as the final image itself and constantly brings unpredictable surprises to join in with meticulously calculated planning. In the end, the image hopes to stand on its own with or without the narrative being conveyed. If the viewer chooses to look into the concepts, they are free to do so and they would never be wrong in whatever story they create. If not, they may simply become aware of scene designed to evoke an aesthetic appreciation of the forms that are present.
