Individual Exhibitions of MP Photographic Art Students, NBU

Alexander Nikolov → Self portrait. Community

Me and the community in which I live. The community is a circle of people I associate with, communicate, change ideas. The community is a net of people relations, where there are transience and occurrences, typical for the period of time in which the community is. The values in one community are defined of the historical progress. Five frames, self portraits, with which I would like to describe my vision of the time where I live in.

Lali → (Sub) hostel
On the street I don’t meet any locked door. An invitation: a deserted table. My attempt to welcome the host becomes a subproduct of subculture. The 502 place you have to visit.

Lora Zhelyazkova → The State of being Alone
This is not an art, but a state of being alone.
Not as a state of the ego that can provoke regret or concede a defeat, and a companion from the world of ideas bearing in it the whole truth about a covered life being experienced and shared in everyday terms above all with only oneself.
The only salvation for the soul can be achieved through constant reinvention of reality and by exemption from rationality. If personality indulges one self’s with one’s subjective illusions about the world this can lead to achieving integrity and developing of a unique and true self being.
„Being alone“ a state of mind that leads to experiencing reality with a capability to see freely and realize without any limitations.

Raya Ilieva → Breath and Shadow
The exhibition consists of a series of photographs inspired by a misty night. The captured silhouettes, each with his own individuality, hurriedly pass through the eye of the lens and share one universal story. They create a silent portrait of the transience of life. Here, the Human Being is only breath and shadow. He inevitably passes through the frame, the fog absorbs him and he disappears; He lives and He dies. Then, a moment later, another Human Being takes his place and just as hurriedly continues his path forward.

Yasena Popova → 4D
I look in the mirror. Look at others. I am looking for answers in response to my companion. I judge a person based on his clothes, read his characters in the eyes. How well do you know yourself? How we perceive others? A different perspective is a new interpretation of the individual. Whether there will be something beautiful or interesting to see?
