The “Exploring Photography” contest is the first of its kind in Bulgaria and is organized by “Yanka Kyurkchieva” National Academy of Photography with the sponsorship of Canon Bulgaria, kindly hosted by Sofia Press Bookshop and Gallery. Translating in words what you see and feel when you look at an image has always been a challenge. A challenge, faced by all 33 participants in the contest who were tasked to describe in words their perception of several images. The images to be explored by the participants have been selected by Denis Buchel from the archive of the National Academy of Photography.

The Exhibition is part of the official Programme of the Month of Photography 2017 and will be opened on 02.06.2017, at 18:30, at Sofia Press Bookshop and Gallery.

The author of the best analysis will be awarded a Canon camera provided by Canon Bulgaria.
