The projects that comprise this exhibition, were inspired by the process of ‘revealing’. The process of revelation that is in contrast to the experience on the surface. Creative research of complex ideas and individually selected themes – a process representative of contemporary photography where the idea and its development is embedded within every artwork.
George – This project metaphorically shows us the cycle of life from birth to the moment of death.
On The Pole – This project raises the question of the social perception of the role of women and the contrast between beauty and strength and their interaction. This project will be presented in the form of an interactive installation where the viewer would physically have to go through the process of revealing some of the photographs.
Entrance Forbidden – A series of photographs that reveal the sacred moment of birth. A unique moment, often condemned as embarrassing, secret and disgusting, one that still even the father is not allowed access to in Bulgaria.
Alopecia Areata – What is it like to live with Alopecia Areata. This project aims to raise the question of how we interpret beauty, without considering what is beyond our first visual impression. Do we stop being ourselves by conforming to social pressure on how to be beautiful?
