Milan Hristev was born in 1963 in Plovdiv. He took up photography in 1975 while still a student. Until finishing his secondary education each year wins the first or the second prize at regional and national Youth Technical and Scientific Creativity competitions. After military service, in 1985 he graduated from the „Julius Fucik“ School of Photography and Polygraphy in Sofia. He has exhibited author collections in Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, the USA, Switzerland and Hungary. In the course of years Hristev has participated and has won awards in over 60 Bulgarian and international collective exhibitions. Presently he has a photo studio in Plovdiv.
