Petra Atanasova is born on 20.12.1934 in Bratya Kunchevi village, Stara Zagora district. Laureat of Pazardjik's district 2010 award for overall contribution in the field of Culture

1953 – Graduates from high school in Stara Zagora
1954 – Studies in the Teacher's Institute in St. Zagora. Due to an illness, she quits after the first year.
1955 – Marries Dr. S. Atanasov. They move to live in Pazardjik.
1960 – Starts working in a photo studio
1964 – Starts working in the photo archive
1970 – Awarded with the title "Photographer-Artist"
1983 – Promoted to editor in the Photocenter
1992 – She retires

Awards:
1955 – First prize in "Everybody's Earth" First International photo-competition in Sofia
1984 – Participation in the "PENTACON – ORWO" international competition
1981 – Participation in "Pirin – photo" national exhibition; participation in the Biennial in Sofia; Participation in the international photographic exhibition in Dresden under UNESCO's aegis 1979 – Participation in the "PENTACON – ORWO" international competition

Her photographs are published in the magazines: "Bulgarian Photo", "Rhodopes", "Theatre", "Bulgarian Journalist".
And the newspapers: "Narodna Kultura", "Pogled", "Pirinsko Delo", "Septemvriysko Zname".
