The Image

Born on 27th May 1955 in Belgorodksa District, Russia. In 1982 he graduates in Physics. He works as a science associate exploring the acoustics of the Ocean till 1994. He discovers the world of photography as a kid under his father's influence. Since 1995 he is a professional photographer. He has over 20 exhibitions behind him. He is known in Bulgaria from his participations in Photovacation where he have won the 2nd prize in 2000. At the present he is one of Moscow's top theatrical photographers. His real passion is dance. He adds ballet an additional magic through his lens.

What I do is I get the ballerina, take her to the countryside, put her on, let's say, an old bicycle dressed up in a classic ballet costume and… here we go! I catch the spontaneous reactions of a fun, interesting situation without any high demands. But suddenly something jumps out of somewhere in all of this… an unexpected graphic, some kind of a special connection…"
