8th Art Photo-Club exhibition
Opening: 08.07.2011 at 19:30
Art Rustica
The Exhibition involves images from the Plain-Airs organized by the "8th Art" Photo Club and Pentax Fan Club-Bulgaria, which took place in 2010 in the Rhodopes, Bulgaria. The participants in the Plain-Air and the Exhibition have caught with their photo-cameras moments of the hard life of the inhabitants of the Smolyan District village Mugla, unforgettable sights of the Rhodope Mountains like Chaeva Chuka Peak, Chaira lakes, the forgotten "Chamla Kingdom", abandoned hamlets like the Kasak and many others which we chanced to visit thanks to our brave guides during an incredible 80-kilometer off-road tour of the mountain. Participants in the successive Pentax Fan Club-Bulgaria Plain-Air in Zlatograd also joined the competition within the exhibition along with the participants in the study trip to the Eastern Rhodopes organized by the photo club. In Zlatograd we witnessed the reconstruction of the Rhodope Wedding rite. Many of the photos were taken in the border, now almost fully desolated village of Kushla in stark contrast with the photos of the restored Zlatograd Ethnographic Area Complex.
